A Bad Posterous User

I really like the Posterous concept.  I've been a terrible user, however.  Two measly posts are all that I've been able to pull together.  I've been blogging away over at: spangler5.blogspot.com because it is a very focused specific blog for our upcoming missionary adventure.  I haven't, however, taken advantage of the utility of Posterous.  Okay, so I am going to try to change that.  Time to do some serious microblogging utlizing Posterous in the next couple of days.  Maybe I'll even journal here.

A Perfect Mocha

The last few days have been incredible as I've watched God put us into contact with people who have a desire to serve Him and who also have an interest in what we're hoping to do for Him in South Africa (see our other blog at: http://spangler5.blogspot.com ).  God has a way of putting people in one's path who can be an encouragement even when they don't realize that that is what they are doing.  I am constantly amazed at God's faithfulness and appreciative for His sovereignty.

So, after having a great morning of answering some important missions related emails, I had some errands to run and stopped off at a local coffee shop.  I am enjoying perhaps the best mocha I have ever had!  Mind you, at one point during my college years I worked at a large chain bookstore and substituted in the store's coffee shop when needed, so I consider myself an accomplished barrista.  Sometimes I can be overly critical of other people's "coffee creations."  However, this mocha is fitting in perfectly with the rest of my extraordinarily great day.  This is one of those times when I just sit back and thank God for His blessings and remind myself that I need to be this thankful to Him even when my days are more mundane or even more troublesome.  A perfect mocha is such a simple pleasure but it is part of a day that has unfolded so much promise as I continue to rest in Him.
